Day 1: Hanoi – Vu Linh (about 180 km) – /Lunch/Diner

At 8.30 AM, we start the motorbike tour to Ba Be lake (Northeast of Vietnam ) from the outskirt of Hanoi. We will keep the bikes away from the busy traffic by taking a small, winding road along the Red river. Enjoy great view of the river and rice paddies as we ride through countryside and extensive farming lands comprising a sea of paddy fields. See the daily life of the local when being in the heart of the biggest delta in northern Vietnam – Red River delta. Lunch is at a local restaurant in Doan Hung Town. After lunch ride a great motorbike trip to Thac Ba Lake on the quiet road with a nice mountain view. The first day finishes at peaceful village of Vu Linh.
Dinner and home stay in Vu Linh.

Day 2: Vu linh – Ba Be National Park (about 200 km) – Breakfast/Lunch/Diner

After breakfast, ride motorbike crossing over the the Song Gam mountain range and then take a great motorcycle tour through the rain forest on a rocky, bumpy and winding roads to Tuyen Quang, we continue on sealed road through renowned tea growing areas, where the hillsides are literally covered in plantations, From here it’s a short motorbike ride to the edge of BA BE Lake.
Arrive Pac Ngoi Village where we stay overnight at 5 PM.
Overnight in Pac Ngoi village – Home stay.

Day 3:  Enjoy Relaxing Boat Trip on Ba Be Lake and Short Ride to Bac Kan (about 70 km) Breakfast/Lunch/Diner
 
After breakfast, take a short walk about 1km to the pier of the lake. Take a boat and enjoy a tour around Ba Be lake, take pictures of the breathtaking mountain views from the boat. Do some short trek in the jungle or short walk on some islands. Come back to the village at noon time for lunch, After that take a short motorbike tour to Bac Kan.
Dinner and overnight in Bac Kan – Hotel.

Day 4:  Motorbike Tour Back to Hanoi (about 220 km) - Breakfast/Lunch/
 
Leaving Bac Kan, we head south to go back to Hanoi, we will take the small paved roads to avoid the busy traffic. Lunch is in Thai Nguyen . Arrive in Hanoi before rush hours and finish perfectly the North Vietnam motorcycle tour to Ba Be Lake.

Day 1: Hanoi - Ba Be Lake ~240 km (L, D)
 
07:30 am at your hotel. Before we kick off, we will spend about 30 minutes to check over the bikes and insure that we have all necessary tools and equipment to guarantee maximum fun. Today, there is not much to see en route, although this will be a great opportunity for you to test your biking abilities and get a feel for your bike (Russian Minsk). We will drive through Thai Nguyen city, keep moving through many other timeless villages linked to the road, which is the main artery of trade between the Northeast region and the Hanoi Capital.
This is our first glimpse of rural Vietnam and sets the tone for the days ahead. Lunch on the way. Depending on traffic conditions, we will arrive at Ba Be Lake  about midday. What is more to take a local boat trip to explore one part of Ba Be Lakes, visit Goa & Han Ma island then more cruise to the village.  After arriving at our home stay in Bo Lu village, you are welcome by the host family of Tay people. Free time then to have shower, walk around the village. Dinner and overnight in Ba Be.
 
Day 2: Ba Be - Tinh Tuc - Bao Lac ~ 178km (B, L, D)
 
Today, with a medium drive with more slopes but we will soon be enjoying the wonderful sightseeing of   mountain, riding through villages. Lunch will be served on the way at a local restaurant then continue our journey to Bao Lac.  Arrival at the town in the late afternoon. Check in hotel and free on your own leisure to have shower and rest. Dinner and stay overnight in Bao Lac.
 
Day 3: Bao Lac - Meo Vac - Dong Van ~ 96 km (B. L, D)

After breakfast, we leave Meo Vac to Ha Giang. Remember to prepare your camera with lots of films for today since we will be hitting the Heaven – a more beautiful place, here we are surrounded by many rocks of all shapes and sizes, chances to see and even visit the traditional houses of the hill tribes here.
The scenic route climbs over a pass, and then we descend down to Meo Vac valley, a beautiful valley situated very close to Chinese border. Have lunch in Meo Vac  then we take time to climb over the Ma Pi Leng Pass where we can enjoy beautiful mountain ranges and the the Nho Que river – just an amazing place to be! We keep hitting the zigzag roads to Dong Van, visiting these remote areas, we will witness how hard the locals struggle with their environment for survival and development. We will stay in town to get the chances to visit the ancient streets with old houses of the H’mong made of clay bricks and tile roofs, built centuries ago. Sleep in Dong Van town.
 
Day 4: Dong Van - Yen Minh - Quan Ba - Ha Giang ~ 150 km (B, L, D)

A leisurely drive from Dong Van, back to Yen Minh & Quan Ba, this day will make your itinerary a good pace, not in a rush. We will visit the infamous Vuong Palace, a H'mong family of high rank during French colonial rule - this palace attracts keen interest from architecturally minded visitors due to its mixed style of European and Chinese architecture. We then hit the road back to Quan Ba and down hill to Ha Giang for the night.
Note: Quan Ba Sunday market is worth an arrangement!
 
Day 5: Ha Giang - Hoang Su Phi - Bac Ha ~ 209km (B, L, D)
 
A long but stunning scenery along the zigzag road from Ha Giang to Bac Ha will make today a little busier, some parts of the road might be difficult to travel so make sure that you depart early this day from Ha Giang to arrive to Bac Ha in time before dark. Dinner and overnight in town.
Note: Road from Ha Giang to Hoang Su Phi then Xin Man – Bac Ha can be bad and impossible to ride during the raining season, however a backup to travel to Bac Ha is already planned.
 
Day 6: Bac Ha - Sapa ~ 120km (L)
 
We have this morning free in Bac Ha to roam around (if we are lucky on Sunday for the market). In the afternoon 3 hours drive to Sapa. Your free time to visit this tourist town and overnight in town.
 
Day 7: Explore around Sapa, night train to Hanoi (B)
 
We suggest to ride down hill to a village then leave your bike there then head out for some hours of trekking to Ta Phin or Ta Van village. We will ride to Lao cai train station (1,5h) in the late afternoon, our bikes are then loaded on the train before your own dinner in Lao Cai. Our train leaves at 8.15 pm to Hanoi, arrival in Hanoi at around 5 am next morning, tour ends at your hotel.

Day 1: Ha Noi - Ba Be Lake (L, D)
You will be picked up early in the morning for the journey to Ba Be national forest, a drive of approximately 150 miles (230 kilometers). Along the way you will pause to visit a Tay minority community, the second largest ethnic group in Vietnam after the Viets, mostly living off the cultivation of rice.
You will continue to Ba Be National Park for a boat ride along the Nang River, with time to explore Ba Be Lake, the caves of Puong Grotto, the rapids of the Dau Dang waterfall and tiny Widow Island. You will also visit the stilt houses of the Tay community in Bo Lu Village, where you will spend the night in Home-stay.  You will enjoy a dinner of home cooked local specialities.
Day 2: Ba Be Lake - Cao Bang - Ban Gioc Waterfall (B, L, D)

After breakfast, we will depart for Cao Bằng close to Vietnam’s northern border with China. You will be introduced to the Nung people in the village of Phuoc Sen, a small village famous for the production of farming tools.
Like the Tays, the Nungs largely live by farming the terraced rice paddies that you will see all around as you transfer to Ban Gioc Waterfall, the majestic falls that demarcate the border between Vietnam and China. Spend some time at leisure relaxing and taking souvenir photos as you soak up the sublime atmosphere of Vietnam’s most beautiful waterfall.  You will Visit Nguom Ngao “Tiger Cave” before returning to Cao Bang town for overnight in  hotel
Day 3: Cao Bang - Ha Noi (B, L)
After a night in the hotel in Cao Bang, you will depart for your transfer south to Hanoi. It is a journey of approximately 185 miles (310 kilometers) through vertiginous rice paddies and remote villages. You will get the chance to stop at an ethnic village known for its rice production. This is the road less traveled in Vietnam, offering the chance to enjoy some peace and tranquility.
There will be a stop for lunch before returning to your hotel in the bustling city of Hanoi.

Day 1 Hanoi - Ba Be Lake
Departing from Hanoi, we embark on a route up into mountain areas north of Hanoi, onwards to Ba Be Lake National Park, one of the largest natural lakes in Vietnam, home to many kinds of birds, scenic valleys, towering rocky outcrops, underground river tributaries, a gigantic cave and local ethnic minorities, including the Tay, Red Dao and Hmong.

Following an exploration of a spectacular cave, we hike around small villages and along the riverfront. The night is spent with a local family in the traditional house of a Tay family to experience their way of life. (Lunch and dinner are included).

Day 2 Ba Be Lake
The day begins with a morning trek in the park, we descend into the scenic valley, home to the Tay minority people and encircled by rock formations. In the afternoon we cross the rolling hills and pass Hmong and Red Dao villages.

The scenery is extraordinary, with rural farmland, and rugged mountains jutting out of the tangled jungle growth. We end our day in the same local family for the night. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included).

Day 3 Ba Be Lake - Hanoi
This is a spectacular boat trip on the lake. We stroll along the riverfront, visit some lovely villages and hike the upper reaches of the lake, in an area marked by massive limestone cliffs and mountains. After lunch in a local restaurant, it is our journey back to Hanoi, arriving there at around 6pm. (Breakfast and lunch are included).

As an eco tourism site, Ba Be lakes is amongst the complex of Ba Be National Park with 21 attractive points such as Bat Cave, Puong Grotto, Fairy Pond, Dau Dang waterfall and the Nang river which ferry tourists from the town of Cho Ra district, Bac Can town to the center of the lakes. Day 4 Cai Rong
Located on the edge of Bai Tu Long Bay, Cai Rong has become the main port on the route to offshore islands. In recent years, the town has seen great changes in its economy. The wharf is lively crowded with ships and fishing boats. From your hotel you'll have a splendid view over the harbour where fishermen bring in their catch.

Days 5-6 Quan Lan, return to Ha Noi
The only road on Quan Lan is of a surprisingly good quality and discovering the island by bicycle is a must. Enjoying nature, visiting fishing villages and taking a swim from desolate, white beaches will make a perfect day

Day 1: Hanoi - Thai Nguyen - Bac Can - Ba Be (L, D)

AM 07h30 : Get picked up by tour guide and driver at your hotel for departure to Ba Be. After 2 hours driving, our first stop is Thai Nguyen City where we have visit to Thai Nguyen Museum to learn about the custom and culture of Thai Nguyen people.

Have lunch in a restaurant nearby Dau Dang Cave.

PM: Return to the local house to collect your luggage then get on bus moving to Cao Bang. Check in to hotel and stay overnight in Cao Bang.

Day 3: Cao Bang - Ban Gioc Waterfall (B, L, D)

AM: After breakfast time, get transferred to Ban Gioc Falls, which is considered one of the nicest falls in Vietnam. Ban Gioc falls thirty meters. It is separated into three falls by rocks and trees, and the thundering effect of the water hitting the cliffs can be heard kilometers away. There is lot of time for photo hunting at the falls.

PM: Return to Cao Bang. Visit villages of the locals in Cao Bang.

Day 4: Cao Bang - Lang Son - Hanoi (B, L)

AM 8h00 : Get on bus to return to Hanoi. Stop en route the way to visit Lang Son City with well-known attractions like Tam Thanh Cave, Nhi Thanh Cave and Dong Kinh Market. Have lunch in Lang Son. onwards to Hanoi arriving early evening.

Ba Be lake is a beautiful and big lake in Bac Can Province, Vietnam.

We depart at around 7 A.M in the morning from Hanoi and drive to Ba Be National Park. On the way we make several stops wherever you want to take photos and visit beautiful sights and villages along the way. We arrive in Ba Be Lake late in the morning. We have lunch on the Babe lakeshore in a local restaurant., After lunch we go a boat trip for 3 hours to visit Ba Be Lake and row kayak at Pelu bay,  have dinner and stay overnight in a local Tay minority family in their traditional wooden stilt house.

Day 2: Hua Ma Cave  -  Ha Noi (B, L)

After breakfast we go past Ba Be forest, you can discover spectacular rivers, deep valleys, natural caves and undulating mountains. On the way, we stop at Hua Ma cave to see one of the most biggest cave in Vietnam, you can compare with Phong Nha – Ke Bang. Then drive back to Ha Noi. On the way, we also pay a visit to the Thai Nguyen Minority and Culture Museum where we can learn something about the culture and traditions of the different minority groups in Vietnam. Locals use dugouts to cross Ba Be Lake and very often, you will see this unique boat on the lake. We will have time to explore the surrounding area before returning to our vehicle for transfer back to Hanoi.
